This document is intended for administrators and application developers who want to deploy Java EE applications or modules to TmaxSoft's JEUS server, which is part of JEUS® (hereafter JEUS).
To understand the basic usage and concepts of JEUS, refer to the following guides.
All examples and environment configurations are written according to the UNIX style. Hence, a few considerations must be given when working in a non-UNIX environment such as Microsoft Windows™ (hereafter Windows).
For example, for path delimiters, the UNIX style "/" must be changed to the Windows style, "\". The environment variables must also be changed to the Windows style, (%%). JEUS_HOME, referred to throughout this guide, is the directory in which JEUS is installed.
This guide refers to Java SE, but it does not contain details about the Java EE specifications or JMX. For such details, see the Java documentation.
This guide consists of 4 chapters.
Descriptions of each are as follows:
"Chapter 1. Application Management in a Domain Environment"
Describes how to manage and deploy applications in a domain environment. It also explains how to deploy applications on a managed server.
"Chapter 2. Graceful Undeployment and Redeployment"
Describes graceful undeployment and redeployment, which undeploys and redeploys an application after processing all current requests.
Describes configuration of modules and applications, their components, and how to configure the components.
"Chapter 4. Application Implementation and Deployment"
Describes how to write Java EE application files (EAR files) and deploy them on JEUS.
