This guide is intended for JEUS® (hereafter JEUS) Message Queue (hereafter, MQ) client developers and JEUS MQ server administrators.
For more information about Java Message Service, refer to the relevant documents and "Java Message Service Specification - version 2.0".
To fully understand this guide, users need to have an understanding of the following:
This guide includes examples and environment settings in UNIX. To use them in other environments such as Microsoft Windows™ (hereafter Windows), users need to consider several conditions.
For example, the Unix delimiter "/" should be replaced with the Windows delimiter "\". The environment variables also need to be specified using (%%). Note that JEUS_HOME referred to in this guide is the home directory of JEUS.
This guide contains materials regarding Java SE, but it does not provide details about the Java EE specifications. For such details, see the Java documentation. This guide also does not contain descriptions of JCA standards. For more information about applications and details about management and operation of the product, refer to related documents.
This document consists of six chapters and two appendixes.
Introduces the Java Message Service, and describes the features of JEUS MQ.
"Chapter 2. JEUS MQ Client Programming"
Describes JEUS MQ client types, procedures for creating a client, and administered objects.
"Chapter 3. JEUS MQ Server Configuration"
Describes how to configure the JMS engines and resources used to run the JEUS MQ server.
"Chapter 4. JEUS MQ Clustering"
Describes the clustering technology that groups multiple servers together to reduce the loads of JEUS MQ servers and provide seamless services.
Describes how a JMS client can recover from a JEUS MQ server or network failure and re-establish the connection.
"Chapter 6. JEUS MQ Special Functions"
Describes the special functions of JEUS MQ, including Message Bridge, Message Sort, Global Order, Message Group, and Message Management.
