This guide is intended for users and administrators who want to use Tmax®(hereafter Tmax) for program development.
This guide is intended to help users gain a basic knowledge of the Tmax system and its features and characteristics.
The user must have knowledge of the following in order to understand this guide:
Middleware and UNIX systems
Basic concepts of Tmax
Java and C programming
This guide does not explain how to use, manage, and operate the Tmax system. For information about how to use and manage Tmax, refer to the relevant guides.
For general information about Tmax application development, refer to "Tmax Application Development Guide". For more information about commands and C API used by Tmax, refer to "Tmax Reference Guide".
This guide consists of six chapters and two appendices.
Descriptions for each are as follows:
Chapter 1: Introduction
Describes the internal architecture, system architecture, administration, and directory structure of Tmax.
Chapter 2: Environment Variables
Describes the types and roles of environment variables used by Tmax system, and how to configure them.
Chapter 3: Environment Configuration
Describes the types and roles of Tmax configuration files, and how to configure them.
Chapter 4: Starting Up and Shutting Down
Describes how to properly start up and shut down a Tmax system.
Chapter 5: Tmax Management
Describes how to use tmadmin, the Tmax management tool.
Chapter 6: IPv6 Configuration
Describes the concept and support range of IPv6 that is supported by Tmax.
Appendix A: CLOPT Options for Gateway
Describes how to set CLOPT options for Tmax domain gateway, Java gateway, and Tuxedo gateway.
Appendix B: Notes on Using Tmax
Describes helpful information about using Tmax.
