This guide is intended for developers and administrators who want to use HMS in Tmax® (hereafter Tmax). It explains the basic concept of HMS and how to configure an environment for HMS. It also describes how to use API with examples.
This guide helps users gain a basic knowledge of the Tmax system and its features and characteristics.
The user must have knowledge of the following in order to understand this guide:
Middleware and UNIX systems
The basic concept of Tmax
Java and C programming
JMS (Java Messaging Service) specification
This guide does not explain detailed knowledge about Tmax and describes only information on HMS. For information on how to use and manage Tmax, refer to the relevant guides.
For basic information for developing the Tmax system, refer to the "Tmax Administrator's Guide" or "Tmax Application Development Guide". For information on commands provided by Tmax and C APIs, refer to the "Tmax Reference Guide".
This guide consists of five chapters and one appendix.
Descriptions for each chapter are as follows:
Chapter 1. Introduction
Introduces HMS and describes its structure.
Chapter 2. Configuring an HMS Environment
Describes HMS-related settings.
Chapter 3. API Functions
Describes APIs used in HMS.
Chapter 4. HMS Management
Describes how to build HMS to use it and how to start and terminate HMS and lookup its status.
Chapter 5. Examples
Describes the usage of API with an application example.
Appendix. A Using a Message Selector
Describes how to use the message selector.
