This guide describes the basic concepts and architecture of a domain on JEUS® (hereafter JEUS), its components, and their functions. It is intended for developers and administrators who need to understand how to configure and manage domains.
Before configuring and managing a domain, users first need to understand its structure. To understand the basic concepts and applications of JEUS, it is recommended that they refer to the following:
This guide includes examples and environment settings in UNIX. To use them in other environments such as Microsoft Windows™ (hereafter Windows), users need to consider several conditions.
For example, the Unix delimiter "/" should be replaced with the Windows delimiter "\". The environment variables also need to be specified using (%%). Note that JEUS_HOME referred to in this guide is the home directory of JEUS.
This guide does not cover basic technologies of Java EE or JMX. For more information, refer to relevant Java documents.
This guide consists of seven chapters.
